Based on observation and interview, the governing body did not ensure that the requirements for the Neonatal Intensive Care Annex overflow area were met.

Findings include:

On 3/13/17 approximately 3:35 PM, the Neonatal Intensive Care Annex overflow area on the 11th floor was observed with a total of 11 infants, which exceeded the eight (8) infants approved to be in that area.

During interview with Staff N, Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator, it was acknowledged there was more infants than was approved for in this area.

Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the hospital did not maintain adequate space for the services provided.

Findings include:

On 3/13/17 approximately 3:35 PM, the Neonatal Intensive Care Annex overflow area on the 11th floor was observed with a total of eleven (11) infants, which exceeded the eight (8) infants for which this area was approved for.

During interview with Staff N, Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator it was acknowledged there were more infants than was approved for in this overflow area.
