Based on observation and interview during the tour of the emergency department (ED) on 06/06/2023 at 1140 revealed the crash carts had not been consistently checked by personnel in the department.

Observation of the ED on 06/06/2023 at 1140 revealed the crash cart in the trauma room #1 had not been checked on April 28,29,30, 2023, May 30, 31, 2023.
The crash cart between rooms 2 and 3 had not been checked on March 3,4,5, 10,11,12,13, 16,29, 22, 26,27 and April 14, 16,17,27,28,29,30 per policy.
Interview with nurse (ID #57) who validated the findings, and stated "yes, it's supposed to be checked daily. The tech's check the crash carts."
