ONE MEDICAL PLAZA

ROSEVILLE, CA 95661

POSTING OF SIGNS

Tag No.: A2402

Based on observations and staff interviews, the facility failed to post information near the back entrance and treatment areas of the Emergency Department specifying:

1. The rights of individuals with respect to examination and treatment of emergency medical conditions and women in labor and;
2. Information indicating whether or not the hospital participated in the Medicaid program.

Findings:

During an Initial Tour of the Emergency Department (ED) on 1/11/16 at 11 a.m., the required postings were not observed near the back entrance where patients, family and staff enter and leave the ED (ambulance drop off). Further observations revealed the same postings were missing from the treatment areas as well (Sides A, B and C).

In a concurrent interview with the ED Manager (EDM) and Administrative Fellow (AF), they acknowledged the postings were not present at the back entrance or treatment areas. Other than the lobby, they could not identify the location of the required postings anywhere else in the ED.
