Based on record review and interview, the facility failed to remain in compliance with Chapter 6.4.1.1.15 of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99 (2012 Edition) which establishes that "The fuel supply for the generator set shall comply with Sections 5.5 and 7.9 of NFPA 110.
Findings:
During the review of records with the Director of Engineering at approximately 9 a.m. on 3/20/17, the generator inspection and maintenance log were reviewed. The current fuel test inspection report was requested. The facility was unable to produce a current fuel test inspection report for the emergency standby power system. The maintenance staff was unaware the current fuel test inspection report was outdated.
These findings were reconfirmed with senior staff during the exit conference at 2 p.m. on 3/20/17.
