Based on observation and interview the facility failed to provide the proper type of emergency generator for the type of healthcare facility. The facility is equipped with a generator that does not meet the type I requirements. This deficient practice affects all occupants of the building. Findings are:
Observations on 6/22/2011, between 2:30P.M. and 3:45 P.M, revealed that the emergency generator was equipped with two transfer switches instead of the required three. Observations were verified by Maintenance Staff A at the time of the observations.
