Based on record review and interview the facility failed to ensure that the patient recieved a face to face within 1 hour after the administration of an emergency medication.
Findings:
Record Review of Patient Letter P Medical record revealed he was admitted on 07/29/22 at 14:35. Date of Birth 08/19/1956. On 08/02/22 at 2100 an emergency medication (Geodon 10mg IM) times one to be given now ordered by Employee #33 was administered the nursing documentation did not indicate that a One hour face to face was completed by the RN.
Interview on 08/11/22 at 11:00 with employee #2 revealed that the face to face should be documented and in the chart within one hour.
