Based on observation, documentation review and interview, the Hospital did not have a current diet manual approved by the dietician and medical staff readily available to all medical, nursing and food service personnel.
On 6/9/10 the Surveyor requested to review the diet manual. Staff were not able to locate a diet manual on the Geri-Psych Unit. Staff located the Manual of Clinical Dietetics in the Main Kitchen. The Nutrition Care Manual Approval Form from the manual was dated 2/25/04, which was not current.
