Based on observation, and interview, the facility failed to post signage in its emergency room, notifying individuals who enter the facility requesting service about the rights of persons with emergency medical conditions and women in labor who come to the emergency department for health care services and also indicate whether the facility participates in the Medicaid program in 1 of 1 emergency room toured.

Findings:

Tours of the facility's emergency room were conducted on 10/12/2021 and 10/13/2021. The Surveyor was accompanied on the tours by the Facility's Quality Director, PI Specialist and registered nurses assigned to the emergency department.
The facility has an average daily census of 220 patients seen in the emergency center daily.

Observation on 10/12/2021 of the emergency room revealed a tent with a guard assigned at the door wearing a facial mask. COVID signs were posted on the emergency room doors. The chairs in the tent were not positioned for social distances. The facility has two entrances one for ambulances and another for walk in patients.

Observation revealed no signage was posted in its emergency room notifying individuals who enter the facility requesting service about the rights of individuals with emergency medical conditions and women in labor who come to the emergency department for health care services and also indicate whether the facility participates in the Medicaid program; was not posted in the main lobby or the ambulance entrance.
Observation of the facility's lobby revealed signs were posted for complaint about physicians:

Interview on 10/12/2021 with the Facility's Quality Director revealed the signage was removed due to renovation of the area been done.
