Based on observation and staff interview, the facility did not ensure that fire suppression systems in food preparation areas were properly maintained in accordance with appicable NFPA standards.
Findings:
On 1/6/16 at approximately 1:45 PM, it was observed that the fire suppression system discharge nozzles over the flat top grill in the retail kitchen were grease laded. In addition, the fire suppression system discharge nozzle blow off caps were missing.
This finding was confirmed by the Executive Chef and the Director of Food and Housekeeping Services at the time of inspection.
