Bringing transparency to federal inspections
Tag No.: K0067
Based on document review and staff interview, the facility failed to maintain the fire chillers as evidenced by not maintaining the access codes to control the chillers. This deficient condition affected all facility occupants and could result in a delay of access to the chillers in the event of an emergency.
Findings:
During document review on 4/30/12, the documents from Honeywell were provided. Staff stated that the facility did not have the access codes to the chillers because the Head Engineer took the access codes when the Engineer Strike began on 3/26/12. Honeywell was contacted and corrected the issue on 4/23/12. Staff did not have control of the chillers for 29 days.
