Based on record review on 10/13/09 and 1/13/10, the facility failed to produce documentation to show that the smoke detectors had a sensitivity test to ensure they were operating within the sensitivity range set forth by the manufacturer. The facility has a capacity of 25 beds and would put all residents, staff, and visitors at risk in the event of a fire.
Findings include:
Record review on 1/13/10, revealed the absence of current sensitivity testing documentation. Maintenance Staff A contacted the fire alarm company and they faxed a copy of the most recent sensitivity test which was last conducted on 9/23/05.
