Based on observation and interview, the facility had several corridor doors that did not meet the requirements of NFPA 101 "The Life Safety Code" 2012 edition. This deficient practice could affect 3 of 25 patients, as well as an undetermined number of staff, and visitors if smoke from a fire were allowed to enter the exit access corridors making it untenable.
Findings include:
On facility tour between 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on 05/09/2018, observations revealed that the door to the CT room in Imaging was being held open with a wedge and the labs phlebotomy room door had a kick down door hold attached to the door..
This deficient condition was verified by a Maintenance Supervisor.
