Based on observation, document review, and Staff interview, it was determined that the facility failed to ensure compliance with the National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code, 2012 edition.
Findings include:
Reference #1: National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code, 2012 edition, 101:7.1.7.2.4, The presence and location of each step shall be readily apparent.
1. On 12/21/16 at 2:30 PM, the pedestrian stairs, in the parking deck, were painted a flat gray which obscured any indication of step location.
a. During interview on 12/21/16, Staff #2 confirmed this finding.
