Based on observation and interview, the facility failed to maintain doors leading into construction areas. This deficient practice would increase the potential for fire, smoke and gasses to spread into the Hospital occupancy. The facility census was 9 patients.
Findings are:
Observations on 5-3-17 at 11:16 am revealed:
1. The single door 1013 leading into construction area failed to close and latch within the door frame.
2. The double doors leading into (Old ED) construction area failed to close and latch within the door frame and the gap between the doors was greater than 1/8 inch.
During an interview on 3-3-17 at 11:16 am, Maintenance Staff A confirmed the doors leading into construction areas were not closing and latching within the door frames.
