Based on medical record (MR) review and interview, laboratory testing for a patient (Patient #1) was not completed as ordered.
Findings include:
-- In 1 of 10 MRs reviewed, Patient #1 presented to the emergency department (ED) after a motor vehicle accident. Physician A (ED Physician) ordered a urinalysis (U/A). Patient A was discharged from the ED and the U/A was not obtained.
-- During interview of Physician A on 8/3/18 at 3:00 pm, he/she acknowledged the above finding.
