Facility failed to maintain corridors in accordance with 2000 edition of the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101. Findings included the following:
Surveyor observed between 1:00 and 1:30 pm on 11/30/11 that corridor walls terminate at ceiling, lay-in ceiling tiles are evident, and corridor walls are not finished to deck as required. Fire Stafety Evaluation System calculation for this hospital did result in alternative method of compliance with Life Safety Code. Therefore correction of this deficiency will not be required.

Surveyor observed between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm that corridor doors had roller latches present. These must be replaced with positive latching hardware. In addition the soiled utility room door to corridor had no latch and will be required to have positive latch also.
