Based on observation and testing the fire alarm system, the facility failed to provide automatic sprinkler system supervisory signals in accordance by NFPA 101 section 9.7.2.1, NFPA 72 Chapter 17.12.2. This condition affected 100% of the patients and staff.
Findings Include:
On August 14, 2019 at 10:35 AM, observation revealed fire sprinkler system inspectors test valve was incapable of initiating and activating the fire alarm system within required 90 seconds. Fire sprinkler system inspectors test valve was left open for 200 seconds and still no activation of the fire alarm system.
The finding was acknowledged by the Administrator and Maintenance Supervisor verified this observation during the exit interview on 8-14-19.
