Based on policy review and interview, the hospital failed to ensure policies and procedures addressed a process for tracking and documenting the Coronavirus 2019 ("COVID-19") vaccination status of any staff who had obtained any booster doses as recommended by the Federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC").
Finding:
A review of the Spring Harbor Hospital, "Healthcare Worker Immunization Requirements Policy," dated 2/4/2022, did not address a process for tracking and documenting the COVID-19 vaccination status of any staff who had obtained any booster doses as recommended by the CDC.
On 3/24/2022 at 2:20 PM an interview was conducted with the Accreditation and Compliance Specialist II, She confirmed the facility did not have a policy that addressed a process for tracking and documenting the COVID-19 vaccination status of any staff who had obtained any booster doses as recommended by the CDC.
