Based on observation and interview, the facility failed to maintain smoke barriers in a smoke compartment on the second floor at the birthing center nursery.
The finding include:
On April 17, 2018 at 11:21 hours, a rolling counter fire door was installed in the smoke barrier between the nursery and the nurses station. The counter fire door does not comply with NFPA 105, Section 4.3 because the door is not rated for smoke. This affects one smoke compartment.
