Based on a review of documentation and staff interview, it has been determined the facility failed to conduct 12 of 12 fire drills in conformance with NFPA 101 Section 19.7.1.2 guidelines.
Findings are as follows:
A review of the fire drill records on on 3/4/14 at approximately 2:15 PM revealed that although required drills had been conducted for the past 12 months, there lacked evidence of staff participation relative to employee signature sheets. The fire drill records failed to include documentation that all employees on all three shifts had participated in the fire drills and were familiar with fire drill procedures.
During interview with the Facilities Supervisor on 3/4/14 at 2:15 PM, he he was unable to provide evidence that employees had participated in facility fire drills during the last 12 month period.
