Based on record review and interview facility staff failed to ensure that the required Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) signs were placed in all lobbies and treatment areas in 1 of 2 (labor and delivery) areas observed.
Findings include:
Facility staff failed to ensure that required EMTALA signage was posted in all areas likely to be noticed on the Labor and Delivery floor.
Based on observation and interview the facility failed to ensure that the required EMTALA signs were placed in all lobbies and treatment areas. See tag A2402.

Based on observation and interview the facility failed to ensure that Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) signs were placed in all lobbies and treatment areas in 1 of 2 (labor and delivery) areas observed.
Findings include:
During a tour of the labor and delivery floor on 5/17/2021 at 9:20 AM accompanied by Administrator A and Nurse Administrator C it was observed that there were no EMTALA signs posted at the entrance to the labor and delivery department or in the department itself.
An interview was conducted with Nurse Administrator C on 5/17/2021 at 9:20 AM who confirmed that there was no signage on the unit and stated "There is none and there never has been."
