Based on the review of records during the facility walk through on 03/06/2013 with the administrator and director of environmental services, it was noted that the electrical distribution and grounding systems were not being tested annually in patient areas. Performance testing shall include receptacle testing at least annually in patient care areas for the following conditions; physical integrity of each receptacle, continuuity of grounding, correct polarity of hot and neutral, and the retention force of the grounding blade to be no less that 4 oz. [NFPA 99(2002)3.3.3.3].
