The inspector observed, while accompanied by the Building Supervisor, during the hours of the inspection from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM on 04/02/2015 that there were the following issues:

A) The FACP breaker was not marked red.

K0130 Medical Gas Alarm

The inspector observed, while accompanied by the Building Supervisor, during the hours of the inspection from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM on 04/02/2015 that there were the following issues:

A) No medical gas alarm was observed on the facility.

" The master alarm system shall consist of two or more alarm panels located in at least two separate locations: (1) One master alarm panel shall be located in the office or work space of the individual responsible for the maintenance of the medical gas and vacuum piping systems. (2) In order to assure continuous surveillance of the medical gas and vacuum systems while the facility is in operation the second master alarm panel shall be located in an area of continuous observation (e.g., the telephone switchboard, security office, or other continuously staffed location.) " - NFPA 99, 2002, 5.1.9.2.1.


K0130 Disaster Drills Hospitals

The inspector observed, while accompanied by the Building Supervisor, during the hours of the inspection from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM on 04/02/2015 that there were the following issues:

A) Based on observation the facility failed to provide acceptable semi-annual disaster drills and needed improvement in the disaster plan. Also the minimal one annual " after action report " was not observed.

" Each organizational entity shall implement one or more specific responses of the emergency preparedness plan at least semi-annually. At least on semi-annual drill shall rehearse mass casualty response for health care facilities with emergency services, disaster receiving stations, or both. " - NFPA 99, 1999, 11-5.3.9.
