Based on observation and staff interview the facility fails to continuously maintain the means of egress from obstructions or impediments. This deficient practice fails to ensure the means of egress is readily accessible affecting 1 of 13 smoke zones. The facility has a capacity of 58 and a census of 46 at the time of this inspection.

Findings Include:

On 05/05/2010 between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm the following was observed:

1. Four blood pressure carts were being charged in the corridors of W-100 and W-200 patient halls.

Staff A was present and confirmed the blood pressure carts were in the corridors and plugged into the walls. Staff A stated that alcoves located in each hall have power outlets and where these carts are to be charged.
