This STANDARD is not met as evidenced by:
Based on observation and staff interview, the facility failed to maintain the fire sprinkler system in accordance with the requirements of 2000 NFPA 101, Sections 19.3.4.1 and 9.6, as well as 1998 NFPA 25, section 2-2.1.1.
Findings include:
On facility tour between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM on 05/10/2016, observation revealed, that the following was found:
1. Install missing ceiling tiles in MRI equipment room.
2. Inspect and replace dry type pendent sprinkler heads in cooler and freezer. It appears the fluid is missing from the glass bulbs.
These deficient practices were confirmed by the Director of Facility Services (SN) at the time of discovery.
