Facility failed to maintain electrical panel boards in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70. Findings included the following:
Surveyor observed that between 3:00 and 4:00 pm on 4/23/13 that essential electrical panel boards in nursing units were not labeled completely in accordance with NFPA 70. The panels for the essential electrical distribution from the alternate power source need to be clearly labeled to indicate the branches that these panels serve. These branch panels labels are required to read; "LIFE SAFETY", "CRITICAL" and "EQUIPMENT" (NFPA 70, 1996: 110-22, 700-9(a)).
