Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center was constructed with eight foot corridors throughout the facility.
Based on observation, the facility failed to maintain the corridors clear and unobstructed for two areas within the emergency department.
On the East side of the main nurses station there were three vital sign machines, two feeding machines and three computer carts stored reducing the corridor width from eight feet to six feet.
On the east side of the nurses station in the emergency room observation unit there were two vital sign machines, two computer carts and two garbage containers stored reducing the corridor width from eight feet to six feet.

Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that medical gas tanks were racked or restrained in a safe manner.
Findings include:
In the respiratory storage room in the North treatment corridor, around the corner from the pulmonary function testing room, there were six tanks of medical gas in cardboard boxes laying on the floor unrestrained safely.
