Based on document review and interview, the facility has not designated a doctor of medicine or osteopathy to oversee respiratory care services.
Findings include:
Interview with Staff (S), Respiratory Therapist on 11/15/18 at 3:00 PM revealed the director of the service is a respiratory therapist.
Review of the policy and procedure manual for Respiratory Care Services revealed no evidence of physician oversight in the development or approval of respiratory care policies.
Interview with Staff (B) on 11/16/18 at 11:00AM verified that a doctor of medicine or osteopathy has not been designated to oversee the respiratory services department.
