Based on observation the facility has failed to provide adequate early warning of fire in the main medical records room, which utilizes rolling open faced shelves for file folders.
Based on observation, the medical records room is not equipped with smoke detectors connected to the building fire alarm system. The room is sprinkler protected, however, due to the densely loaded shelf system, earlier notification of a fire condition is needed to provide for manual intervention prior to sprinkler system activation.
