Based on observation and interview, the provider failed to maintain battery pack emergency lighting for one of two generators (generator room in partial basement) and for one of two electrical switchgear (mechanical room in partial basement). Findings include:

1. Observation on 11/30/22 at 10:30 a.m. revealed the battery pack emergency light for the generator located in the generator room off of the mechanical room in the partial basement would not illuminate. Interview with the building manager at the time of the observation confirmed that finding.

2. Observation on 11/30/22 at 10:34 a.m. revealed the battery pack emergency light for the electrical switchgear located in the mechanical room in the partial basement would not illuminate. Interview with the building manager at the time of the observation confirmed that finding.


The deficiency affected two of numerous requirements for the emergency lighting system.
