NFPA 110 2010 Edition 5.6.5.6* states:
All installations shall have a remote manual stop station of a type to prevent inadvertent or unintentional operation located outside the room housing the prime mover, where so installed, or elsewhere on the premises where the prime mover is located outside the building.
Based on observation and interview, the facility failed to provide 2 of 2 emergency generators with a remote manual stop station per the requirements of:
NFPA 101, 2012 Edition 19.5.1.1, 19.5.1.2, 9.1.3.1, 9.1.3.2
NFPA 110, 2010 Edition 5.6.5.6*, 5.6.5.6.1
The finding includes:
Observation and interview with the maintenance director and performance improvement director on 9/10/18 at 1:40 PM revealed 2 of 2 emergency generators were not provided with a remote manual stop station that was located outside the room housing the prime mover.
The maintenance director was present when the deficiency was identified and was acknowledged by the administrator during the exit conference on 9/10/18.
