Based on interview and record review the facility failed to have emergency medications available in the emergency room.

Findings:
On 05/04/2012 at 11:45 am, an interview with the Pharmacist revealed that Ativan and Valium were not available in the facility pharmacy.
On 05/04/2012 at 12:00 pm, an interview with the Chief Clinical Officer revealed that Ativan and Valium medications were not available due to back order status.
On 05/04/2010 at 12:15 pm, an interview with the RN in the facility's Emergency Department revealed that they have been out of Ativan and Valium for at least two weeks.
On 05/04/2012 at 12:15, review of the 24 hour controlled substance log in the Emergency Department which showed no quantity of Ativan and Valium in their supply.
