Subsistence Needs for Staff and Patients

Based on document review and interview, it was determined the facility failed to develop an emergecy preparedness policy based on provision of subsistence needs for staff and patients, affecting the entire campus.

Findings include:

1. Document review on August 27, 2020, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, revealed the facility did not have a comprehensive policy to supply subsistence needs to staff and patients, including alternate sources of power. Interview with Hospital Safety Management revealed a lack of ready knowledge of the back up systems.

Interview at the time of the exit conference with the Safety Management Representatives and the Administrator on Call on August 27, 2020, at 12:50 PM, confirmed the facility did not have a comprehensive policy for providing emergency power for subsistence for staff and patients.
