Based on observation and interview, the facility failed to post conspicuous signage in the adult and pediatric waiting areas where patients wait prior to service.
Finding Included:
Observation on 12/14/2022 at 0947 of the waiting room of the adult and pediatric waiting room, revealed no EMTALA signs were posted in both areas. The EMTALA signs were posted on the wall of the entrance of the ED, and the ambulance bay only
Interview on 12/14/2022 with the staff (ID# 53) who stated we don't have signs in the waiting room, but will get them by the end of the week.
