Based on policy review and interview, it was determined the Facility failed to ensure the Grievance Policy contained a timeframe as to when response to a patient grievance could be expected. The failed practice did not ensure patients filing a grievance were informed as to the results of the investigation in a timely manner. The failed practice could affect any patient filing a grievance. Findings follow:
A. Review of the Grievance Policy revealed no evidence of a grievance response timeframe.
B. During an interview on 08/04/15 at 1230, the Medical/Surgical Director confirmed the policy did not contain a response timeframe.
