Based upon observations, the kitchen duct work was not approved for this use.
Findings include the kitchen duct work was extended across the roof for approximatly 20 feet away from the HVAC fresh air intake to prevent food smells from entering the facility ventilation system. At the joints of the duct, grease was leaking from the joints.
The above observations were witnessed by the Maintenance Director, Maintenance Supervisor and Safety/Security Supervisor at approxiamtly 9:00 am on 11/17/10.
