Based on record review and interview, the facility failed to exercise the generator under load for 30 minutes for 3 of the last 12 months.
Findings include:
During record review it was identified that in December 2010, January 2011, and March 2011, the facility did not run the generator under load for 30 minutes during those months.
Interview with the Maintenance Director revealed that the facility had been using the MRI in the hospital at the proposed time of generator testing and did not want to transfer the generator to load during those procedures and that the facility chose not to transfer to load on the generator at another time during those months to meet this requirement.
