Based on visual observation the facility failed to assure that the fire alarm system was inspected and tested in accordance with the approved maintenance and testing program in NFPA 72. The fire alarm system gives a sense of security to offer an advance warning in fire and/or smoke emergency. The fire alarm system shall be in a continously attened location. This deficient practice could potentially affect 21 of 21 residents.
Findings:
During the facility tour on 10/25/2018, observation revealed the fire alarm panel in not in a continuously attened area during the 24 hrs. the facility is operating. The fire alarm panel is located in the front part of the building that is not attened 24 hrs. aday seven days a week and no fire alarm annuciator in the area that is attended 24/7.

K916 Electrical Systems - Essential Electric System Alarm Annunciator
A remote annunciator is provided in a location readily observed by operating personnel. The annuciator is hard-wired to indicate alarm conditions of the emergency power souce.
The annuanciator shall be in a continuosly attened location.
The deficiency practice have the potenail to affect 21 of 21 patients.
During the facility tour on 10/25/2018, observation revealed the generator annuciator panel was not in a continuosly attented location it is behaind a door in the front part of the building unattened.
