Based on interview and record review it was found that the hospital did not keep a temperature and humidity log.
Findings Include:
On tour of the Operating Room (OR) on 12/2/14 it was noted that there was no temperature and humidity log. On interview with the Manager of the OR, she stated that the process had been turned over to Engineering Department. The Director of Nurses also confirmed that the Engineering Department was responsible for the temperature and humidity logs. On interview with the Engineering Manager, he stated that they have a computerized program that monitors and maintains the temperature and humidity. There is no documentation showing that the program was effective and maintaining the temperature and humidity within the specified boundaries.
