Based on observation and staff interviews it was determined the facility failed to meet the requirements of K-tag 56.
This could place 1063 residents at risk in the event of fire or any other disaster.
The findings include:
On 01/07/14 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm Observation revealed that the fire pump that provides water pressure for the fire sprinkler system was not connected to the facilities generator. This is necessary in order to provide an emergency power source in case city power supply falters.
These findings were confirmed by Staff M at the time of discovery.

Based on observation and staff interviews it was determined the facility failed to meet requirements of K-tag 64.
This could place 1063 residents at risk in the event of fire or any other disaster.
The findings include:

On 01/07/14 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm Observation revealed that fire extinguishers in areas electrical room SV121 and IT room SV038 had outdated tags showing that testing and inspection of the fire extinguishers were outdated.
These findings were confirmed by Staff M at the time of discovery.

Based on observation and staff interviews it was determined the facility failed to K-Tag 154.
This could place 1063 residents at risk in the event of fire or any other disaster.
The findings include:
On 01/07/14 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm Observation revealed that that green inspection tags on fire sprinkler risers in all stair wells were outdated on testing and inspection. The tags indicate last testing and inspections were in 2012. The fire sprinkler system shall be tested/inspected on an annual basis by a licensed fire sprinkler technician.
These findings were confirmed by Staff M at the time of discovery.
