Based on observation during the survey walk-through while accompanied by the facility representative, the surveyor determined that not all portions of the building electrical system is in accordance with NFPA 70-1999. Noncompliance can result in electrical shock hazard.
Findings include:
A. At 10:15AM on 12/13/13 it was observed that below the sink counters within the corridor (approximately two sinks per wing) at the 4th floor and 3rd floor South Patient Care Wings electrical outlets are installed without GFCI protection which does not comply with NFPA 70-1999, 517-20(a).
