Based on record review and staff interview, the hospital failed to ensure that patients receive care in a safe setting when a Registered Nurse failed to maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Findings were:
Staff # 7's American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification expired on May 2020. The facility was unable to provide a current certification for staff #7
The above deficient practice was confirmed with staff #17 on September 12, 2020.
