Based on observation and interview the facility failed to maintain a hazardous area free combustible items as required.
Findings:
On 01/07/21 at 11:31am the surveyor observed a medical gas storage area with a 32 gallon plastic combustible trash can filled with paper tags/plastic caps.
On 01/07/21 at 11:33am the surveyor asked staff A why the medical gas storage room had a plastic 32 gallon trash can filled with paper tabs and plastic caps. Staff A stated it must have been their oxygen vender and they will remove it immediately.
