Based on observation the Hospital failed to consistently provide for patient privacy during the registration process.
The Surveyor observed Registration Clerk #1 at the front desk of the Holly and Bruce Johnstone Lobby at 6:55 A.M. on 7/21/2020. The Surveyor was third in line to speak with Registration Clerk #1 who was registering Non-Sampled Patient #1. Non -Sampled Patient #1 was asked and answered what his/her name, date of birth, physician and the type of imaging that would be done that day within earshot of the two people waiting for Registration Clerk #1. The information that was asked of Non-Sampled Patient #1 is considered protected information by Federal regulation.
