Penetrations and miscellaneous openings in floors and smoke barrier shall be protected by a material that is capable of maintaining the smoke resistance of the smoke barrier. It was observed between the hours of 10:00 and 10:30 that 1/ Electrical room and telephone equipment rooms had unsealed floor penetrations.

2/Vertical opening stairwell on west side of building was observed to have a PVC water pipe that was running through the stairwell.

Doors in a stairway enclosure are self-closing and kept in the closed position, unless held open by a releaseing device complying with 7.2.1.8.2. It was observed between the hours of 10:30 and 11:00 that stairwell #1 door at floor lobby was not latching properly.

Hazardous areas to have 1 hr construction or sprinklered. The areas shall be seperated from other spaces by smoke resisting partitions and doors. It was observed between the hours of 10:30 and 11:00 the soiled linen/laundry areas have un-sealed penetations in wall.

Type II EES is divided into the emergency and critical systems in accordance with NFPA 99. It was observed between the hours or 12:30 and 1:30 that there is no Indicator panel for the generator located inside the building .
