On tour of facility December 14, 2011, with Maintenance Staff and Assistant CEO, Patient Care Testing Equipment was plugged into a Power Strip.
The Findings Include:
On tour December 14, 2011, with Maintenance Staff and Assistant CEO, at 2:15 P.M. in one of the Treatment Rooms, it was noted that Patient Care Testing Equipment was plugged into a Power Strip. According to NFPA 99 (1999), 3-3.2.1.2 (5) (2) (d) (2), The number of receptacles shall be determined by the intended use of the patient care area. There shall be sufficient receptacles located so as to avoid the need for extension cords or multiple outlet adapters.

On tour of facility December 14, 2011, it was noted in Electrical rooms there were various Electrical Panels with Breakers mis-labeled.
The Findings Include:
On tour December 14, 2011, with Maintenance Staff and Assistant CEO, at 2:30 P.M. it was noted that in the Main Electrical Room there was Electrical Panels, that the Legend to identify Circuit Breakers was mis-labeled. Breakers labeled Spares were turned on to identify that the Breaker was being utilized. (1) 3 Phase Breaker had wires going to it to indicate it was possibly being utilized and mark Spare was turned on. This condition could jeopardize residents and staff in a Fire/Smoke situation. According to NFPA 70, 408.4, "Every circuit and circuit modification shall be legibly identified as to its clear, evident, and specific purpose or use...."
