Based on observations, the facility failed to post proper signs concerning their NO Smoking policy. Proper signs make aware patients, visitors, and staff of the facility's smoking policy and/or identifies designated smoking areas. Signs also alert to possible dangers such as areas containing Oxygen.
The findings include:
During the facility tour on 1/17/2013 with the Director of Maintenance, it was found that the facility had not posted the required no smoking signs at the entrances nor rooms with oxygen storage. NFPA 101 Life Safety Code (2009) 18.7.4 & 19.7.4

Based on observations the facility failed to maintain electrical safety regulations. Unsafe practices dealing with electrical issues could lead to severe injury and increases the chances of electrically caused fires.

During the facility tour on 1/17/2013 with the Director of Maintenance, it was found that light covers were missing from the florescent lights in the following rooms: Janitor Closets, Electrical Room, and Mechanical Room. NFPA 101, NFPA 70 Chapter 4, N.E.C.
