Based on observation and staff interview, it was determined the hospital failed to correctly identify the three designated areas of the surgical department.
Findings:
The surgical department (OR) was toured on the morning of January 15, 2015 with the OR manager.
In the surgical corridor two red lines were used to separate the restricted area from the unrestricted area. This was confirmed by the OR manager during the tour.
The above information was presented to the administrative staff during the exit interview.
