Based on observation and interview five (5) on call sleeping rooms are lacking smoke detection. Smoke detection is required in all sleeping rooms in accordance with, LSC(00), 6.1.14.2. This deficient practice could effect all occupants in the event of a fire.
Findings include:
During the facility survey on 5-5-15, at approximately 2:00PM, based on observation and interview, no smoke detection/alarms were installed in the following on-call sleeping rooms, 1905, 1491, 1492, 1493, 1494. Any room used for sleeping is required to be provided with detection.
This deficient practice was confirmed by the Facility Services Manager (RP) at the time of exit.
