Based on document review and interview, the facility has not provided EMTALA training to all Medical Staff.
Findings:
1 out of 3 physician credentials files that were reviewed on 11/29/11 at 11:30 am, lacked evidence of EMTALA training at appointment or at any time thereafter. The physician was appointed to the Medical Staff in 1988 and has remained in active status. Upon interview with the Medical Staff Office Director and the Risk Manager on 11/29/11 at 12 noon, this finding was verified.

Based on observation, the facility has failed to conspicuosly post a sign in all treatment areas specifying the rights of individuals under the EMTALA regulation.
Findings:
Upon observation while touring the Emergency Care Center on 11/28/11 at 11am, 3 out of 5 treatment rooms observed lacked EMTALA signage. Signs were also not observed in the patient waiting/registration area of the Emergency Care Center.
